After earning a degree in Engineering from HEI Lille (FR), Richard relocated to Tokyo where he joined the advertising agency TEQUILA\Japan. Richard spent four years in Japan developing new web and mobile technologies for the clients of the agency.In June 2007, Richard returned to France to create with Jose Costa, the world's first 360 degrees digital camera: the "GIROPTIC 360 HDR".
