Nicolai Kolding

COO, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC

Since October 2007, Nicolai Kolding has been serving as the chief operating officer for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC. In this role, he oversees the brand’s global service platform and internal operations. One of his core focuses is on the development of the brand’s financially-focused consulting platform. Nicolai joins the Better Homes and Gardens Real EstateSM brand with a decade of experience with the Company’s corporate parent, Realogy Corporation, where he directed mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic growth activities in the U.S. and abroad. By leveraging his experiences in this field, he hopes to redefine how franchisors interact with their affiliates by providing them with in-depth business information and knowledge.

Having served as a financial analyst in the retail sector until 1998, Nicolai began with Realogy through its subsidiary, NRT. He served NRT in several capacities of increasing responsibility and leadership within the acquisitions department where he personally negotiated with nearly 1,000 companies and closed over 175 transactions ranging from single-office boutiques to some of the country’s largest and most esteemed firms. As Realogy’s senior vice president of strategic development, he led several expanded initiatives, including transactions in Canada, China, and Japan.

Nicolai graduated from Lehigh University with concentrations in economics and psychology. He has traveled abroad extensively but has settled down in Mountain Lakes, NJ with his wife, Aleksandra, and their two young sons, Thomas and Henryk.
