Licensed Salesperson and Author of Diary of a Real Estate Rookie
Alison Rogers is an American journalist and real estate agent. Her memoir of her first year in real estate, Diary of a Real Estate Rookie, was published by Kaplan Publishing in 2007. An expansion of her popular weekly column for Inman News, the book was one of the most successful real estate books of 2007, and its second printing includes positive reviews from Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, and Publisher's Weekly.
During 2008, she has served as the "real estate guru" on FiLife.com, a personal finance site for people in their twenties and thirties launches as a joint venture of Dow Jones and IAC/InterActiveCorp. A licensed salesperson for the New York City firm of DG Neary Realty, she also sells and rents luxury real estate in downtown Manhattan.
