Buyers probably have a reason for not 'biting'

Re: 'The Lost Listing' (Nov. 30)
Dear Editor:
When I first entered this business, I heard a very clever man say, "There is no such thing as behavior without a reason."
If you apply this knowledge to your buyers, it simply shows why they did not buy for such a long time. They were just not ready.
Of course, it is so very easy to play armchair quarterback now. In the future, I would always question the clients why they are not buying.
If done tactfully and with care, most buyers will tell you.
In most markets, it does not take months to buy a condominium. There is usually good supply of units and available financing.
Remember, if the buyers are not "biting," there is a reason. Find out and do not move forward until you are able to uncover the real reasons for not moving forward.

Re: 'Lenders weigh plan to freeze rates on ARM loans' (Nov. 30)
Dear Editor:
I just started my real estate business in February-March of this year and I think this is great news. Some of these people who are in such a terrible situation can finally see some resolution to their stressful situation which is affecting their health and the whole wellbeing of their family. Some people who I have come across have two or three jobs just so they can make their payments due to the kind of loan they got into one or two years ago.
